I am Lilo, 3d artist, art directress and author from Hamburg. I create concepts for three-dimensional content, work on artificial intelligence in design and am interested in design history. I create 3d models and renderings in Blender 3d.

I grew up in northern Hesse and studied communication design for a bachelor's and master's degree at Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences. There I worked in various graphic offices and as a freelancer for Handelsblatt.

During my studies, I focused on design history and in 2019 published a publication about »The Thonet Brand« in the Swiss publishing house for design and architecture Niggli.

Later I worked on the digitization of archives and came into contact with the topic of artificial intelligence. My master's degree dealt with the topic of font classification – specifically the recognition of font features using artificial neural networks. I wrote articles on the intersection of design and artificial intelligence in the »Yearbook of Type 2019/20« and in the design magazine Page.

Together with Anika Kunst, I ran the studio lano from 2020 to the beginning of 2023. We designed visual identities, pictogram systems, catalogs and posters. In the summer semester of 2022, I started teaching at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences in the Master's program in Editorial Design on the topic of »founding your own design studio«.

Since August 2023 I have been part of the Creative Society Hamburg »Pool of Creatives« as an expert in product rendering and art direction.
